Simon is a highly experienced member of our team. He is an ex-Professional Footballer, with over 350 Football League and Cup appearances for Swansea City, Carlisle United, Preston North End and Darlington.He also has experience of playing in the European Cup Winners Cup for Swansea City.
Post his professional playing career, Simon was Director of Youth for Preston North End for 7 years, former Academy Director of Barnsley FC and First Team Manager of Barnsley FC, Darlington and Hereford United. He took Barnsley to the FA Cup Semi-Finals in 2008, beating Liverpool and Chelsea on route.
He's also a member of the US Club National Board, South Eastern Club Champions League Board and South Atlantic Premier League President of the Board.
Scott works in Business Development for GIS, helping club and scholastic soccer organizations identify and curate the global soccer experience that best fits their needs. Scott has a passion for sports and previously served as head of marketing for the Houston Astros baseball club and captained his college basketball team at Emory University.
Scott also has significant corporate experience, having worked for Fortune 500 companies such as Colgate Palmolive, L’Oreal and Bacardi.
James Abrahart is the original founder of GIS and, over the last fifteen years, has been the primary architect of its success. James started the business as a result of his love for the game and the desire to provide an amazing experience for players and families alike. He also brings a parent's perspective, with three of his four children having played at the club high school and Division 1 level.
Prior to GIS, James built his first business, Interfax Systems Plc. into one of the leading independent providers of office solutions in the United Kingdom. After its sale, he founded Altodigital, one of the largest independent office technology solutions companies in the UK, with 15 UK offices and over 500 employees.
