Colloquially known simply as ‘Wolves’, Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. dates back to 1877 and was once known as St. Luke’s. The club was a founding member of the Football League and also involved in the launch of the European Cup. Over the decades, the club was influential in a number of ways and enjoyed many successes that resulted in the team being dubbed ‘Champions of the World’ by the British media.

These successes include multiple FA Cup wins, including two before World War I. They also went on to win the League three times.
