Sports management company, Global Image Sports (GIS), have entered into a partnership agreement with Virgin Atlantic Airways (VAA) and Delta, in a move that will see VAA and Delta become the Official Airline Partners of GIS for the foreseeable future.
The partnership will see GIS working directly with Virgin Atlantic and Delta to offer preferred rates of air travel to players, parents and coaching staff travelling within the United Kingdom and North America. The airlines will be actively involved in enabling GIS to carry out its industry leading camp and coaching education programs across the world. One of the great benefits of the partnership is the opportunity for the 400+ partner clubs of GIS to be able to access these great rates and experience quality VAA and Delta service at the same time.
GIS Chief Executive Officer, James Abrahart said, “We are always on the look-out for value added services for our partners and in Virgin Atlantic Airways and Delta, we have world class airlines who are able to extend their services to the thousands of families that we work directly with.”
“After a hugely successful recent period for GIS which has seen us fly nearly 8 million air miles in 2 months in order to expand our various programs, we are excited about being able to enhance this part of our business and further develop the experience for our customers.”
James Rowan from Virgin Atlantic said “we’re really looking forward to working with GIS – in a short period of time they have become established as a market leader in offering first class sporting experiences to young players around the world.”
“Thanks to our ever expanding routes and flight networks, we can offer direct flights to large numbers of major US cities, some of which include Atlanta, Orlando, San Francisco and Boston. A partnership with GIS will help us connect more people to these locations and become actively engaged in further sporting endeavors.”
